What country do I live in? What year is this?

These are the questions I have been asking myself since Republicans took hold of Congress in January. I mean seriously, I thought Republicans said they were going to create jobs, jobs, jobs? Instead, they want a piece of my reproductive system. The lying coming from the Republican party is breathtaking. What is scarier than a lying Republican? A stupid voter.

I never really gave this voting thing a second thought until the 2008 Presidential election. If I recall, after Senator Obama gave his acceptance speech for the nomination, he had like a 10 point lead over McCain. And then when Palin was unleashed on us, McCain gained a 10 point lead. Really? THAT many people were going to vote for McCain based JUST on Palin being his VP pick? I admit I had a sense of History when she came out. I was thinking, “We’re either going to have a black President or a woman Vice President.” – Then the wench opened her mouth and that was the end of that. Now for 22 seconds I felt the historic aspect of what was happening, but just because Palin was on the VP ticket doesn’t mean I was going to vote Republican. You couldn’t pay me enough money to vote Republican. How could so many people say they were changing their vote? Are they unaware of the fundamental differences between the two parties? I mean just having a woman on the VP ticket would make someone change their vote from Democrat to Republican? Who are you? I have some questions for you.

I really loathe the argument that it’s best to not vote straight ticket. Or that lame excuse of, ‘I vote for the person.’ – That’s nice and all, but a Republican is a Republican is a Republican. No matter what they look like, pigs and lipstick and all.

I want to start with this whole abortion issue the Republicans have been forcing. Their assault on women’s health, and women’s rights in general is sickening. The first thing is that these Republicans don’t want ANY woman to have an abortion. So they are forcing these already unwanted babies into this world. And we all know Republicans DO NOT care about babies after they come out of the womb. So then think about it, they are making these unwanted babies be born to people who DO NOT WANT THEM. And where does that lead to? One of two ways. If the child is anything other than white, it’s going to the State. We all know only white babies get adopted that easily. And the people who actually WANT non-white babies, the disabled children. the older children. the crack-addicted babies, those would be the gay people and yet, Republicans don’t want them to be able to adopt, because the kids will ‘catch the gay.’

RE-READ what I wrote, or maybe I’ll recap. Republicans are willing to force women to have unwanted children, and then the non-white kids who are put up for adoption aren’t allowed to be adopted by a gay couple. And ask a Republican for Government money for the Foster Care system and see what they say. They say: F U. See the hypocrisy?

We’re not done.

I’ve noticed Republicans only see things in black or white. There is NO gray area with them. It’s either this way, or that way. And nothing in between. As witnessed in the past week, the Republicans and the Tea Baggers are all about de-funding Planned Parenthood. They have been LYING so much about Planned Parenthood and what they do for the last couple of weeks. And I don’t know why ALL women aren’t up in arms about this assault on us.

Michele Bachmann: Such an embarrassment to women everywhere. She’s against abortion, yet she doesn’t want ANYONE to have health care. Plus she’s against a woman being able to write-off a breast pump. I mean this girl HATES women. Michele Bachmann, why do you hate women so much? You are not what Susan B. Anthony had in mind when she was fighting for women’s rights. YOU want to take ALL rights away from women. I actually do know the answer as to why you hate women. You are a stupid, stupid woman. I mean you are just plain dumb. Your ‘slavery’ speech proves that. You are shameful, Michele Bachmann. Comparing Planned Parenthood to Lens Crafters. I hope that you, or any of your daughters are ever in a position to have to agonize on whether to terminate a pregnancy because you were raped. Shame on you. You make me sick.

I know this particular blog is all over the place. I’m sorry. But this assault on women’s rights is making me physically ill.

The Racial Climate in America

So I had a revelation today, I was watching Donald Trump talking about President Obama’s ‘fake’ birth certificate and I thought, “Wow. In 2011, it’s now ‘hip’ & ‘cool’ to be a racist & a bigot.” – And we have Republicans to thank for that.

I think the very beginning of this epidemic started with Sarah Palin during the 2008 Presidential election. The moment she spewed the words ‘palling around with terrorists,’ she gave a free pass for all racists in this country to rear their ugly heads and come out from the depths of hell and proudly claim … Oh wait, they don’t claim to be racist, they just attend a rally carrying a sign that says, ‘Go back to Africa.’ But no, no, that’s not racist at all.

I don’t ever recall, in my 37 years of existence, so many prominent politicians/pundits being so overtly and proudly racist. Then claim not to be racist.

Rush Limbaugh: We can start with the BIGGEST racist of all, and never admitting he is a racist, Here are some of his gems.

“We need segregated buses… This is Obama’s America.” – What did you mean by this Rush? And I mean your ‘spin’ answer. We ALL know what you meant. But even a comment this brazenly racist will never be admitted to be racist by you. Coward.

“Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.” – In my humble opinion, I think Rush was proud when he thought this up. Like he thought he was so clever to be the one to come up with this gem.

By the way, just Google ‘Rush Limbaugh’s racist comments’ and these are just a couple out of hundreds of racial, hateful, bigoted comments. Limbaugh isn’t only a racist, he’s a pathological liar. But that’s another blog.

Newt Gingrich: This cheating loser has been spewing some amazing racists comments since he’s considering running for President. He’s obviously pandering to the Tea Party. Who wants a President who’s been ‘palling around with Tea Baggers?’ The biggest racist venom that he said was this:

Really Newt? You think the President of the United States is having a Séance every night to ‘contact’ his dead father? That statement, Newt, IS very racist, and actually, it’s quite possibly THE DUMBEST thing I’ve ever heard come out of someone’s mouth. What’s worse than you? The dumb Americans who actually buy & eat up the lies and venom you are telling them.

YOU are a guy who cheated on TWO wives. One was battling cancer. Yeah, that’s the kind of guy YOU are. YOU cheat on your cancer stricken wife. THAT’S YOU. YOU handed your first wife divorce papers in the hospital, while she was battling cancer. And YOU told your second wife you were leaving her the day she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. So when this third one is in need of some help from her husband, I’m sure she can look forward to you leaving her too. Because that’s what YOU do, Newt. You bail. You bailed on TWO wives who needed their husband when they were sick. And you LEFT. So much for ‘in sickness & in health.’ – right Newt? Maybe you should hold a Séance & try to contact Jesus & ask him how you should live the rest of your life. Because you have NO integrity. Peter King: This tool, is just as important as the scum on the bottom of my shoe. He is convening meetings to talk about Muslims in this country. MY country. America. Evidentially, these racists think that America is ONLY a Christian country. Everyone else is NOT allowed the freedom to practice their own religion. Except, FREEDOM OF RELIGION is part of the FIRST Amendment. These Republicans tend to think the only Amendment that matters is the Second one. Freedom of Religion was added to the Constitution by these same fore fathers these racists want you to believe were the greatest Americans ever. I’ll repeat, Peter King: THE FORE FATHERS ARE THE ONES WHO PUT FREEDOM OF RELIGION IN THE CONSTITUTION.

Do you understand that? Should I dumb it down more for you? And where were YOU the years Obama WASN’T President? You didn’t seem to care about Muslims the years Bush was America’s dictator? It’s a big coincidence that you now have concerns for America being attacked by Muslims living here, NOW that we have a black President. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what you’re doing.

Peter King’s unbelievable Xenophobia seems to be contagious. This whole fake anti-Muslim movement should have been put to bed with three little words. FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Here is a site listing all of his racist remarks about Islam.

Does anyone see a pattern emerging here? Seems like the ones causing all the problems are old white guys. Old white guys who want to control a woman’s reproductive system. Old white guys spewing all this racist venom the past two years. These Republicans/Tea Baggers have made it ok to be overtly racist. Yet, nobody owns their racism. In fact, the biggest response is this: If you’re against President Obama, Dems call you a racist. Well, no, that’s not true. That’s the excuse the Tea Baggers are using to quantify their racist statements and many racist signs at their rallies.

Tom Tancredo at a Tea Party Convention last year, told the Tea Baggers that “people who could not even spell the word ‘vote’, or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House.”
“His name,” Tancredo said, “is Barack Hussein Obama.”

This is racist, Mr. Tancredo. IT IS. And how anyone can come out and say it’s not is beyond stupid. Another thing I’ve notice, and this is just kind of food for thought. Common sense … if you have to start a sentence with, “I’m not a racist, but …” YOU ARE A RACIST. Someone who is not a racist would never say anything that would require that disclaimer. I’ve seen that phrase used quite a bit within the last two years. Maybe I’m just naive. Period. Remember some old white guy (of course) going to a Palin rally with a Curious George Monkey with an Obama bumper sticker wrapped around its head? That old guy was so proud of what he did. And nobody at that rally had the sense to ask him, “Why?”

Like seriously, “Why the monkey? Would you like to share something with the rest of the class?” All of us know exactly what you mean by it, why don’t you just share it out loud? Don’t be ashamed. Be proud to be a racist. Be proud to hate non-white people, Own your hatred. At least we know you’re out there and can be spotted a mile away.

I think what is amazing, is how unbelievably stupid these racists are. And the closeted racists. i.e. The Tea Baggers. I mean there are actual human beings out there who really thought/think President Obama wants to turn white people into slaves. I don’t even want to elaborate on that because it might be the most ridicules thing I have ever typed. I had a chiropractor two years ago who seriously thought that Obama was going to seize all American’s guns. Another person thought that Obama was going to ban fishing. Do you people even read these words? Do you say them out loud before you believe it?

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again … IF YOU’RE A BIRTHER, YOU’RE A RACIST. There is NO reason at all to believe President Obama is anything other than American & Christian. When the FACTS are presented to Republicans/Tea Baggers, they are simply ignored. This isn’t even about President Obama’s policies. It’s about President Obama’s skin color. Plain & simple. And all of you Republican politicians/pundits who are too cowardly to actually say, “The President IS American”, you’re just as guilty. You’re pandering to a new Republican base consisting of racists & bigots. I hope you’re proud of yourselves.
