Mitt Romney: The Anti-Gay Flip-Flopper

I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I wasn’t going to do a blog on him because I was hoping GOP voters aren’t THAT dumb to choose any other GOP candidate over him. But now Mitt Romney signed a petition to wage war on homosexuals. I could bring up the whole flip-flopping problem he has but I thought that would for sure be brought out in ads & at the debates. Anyway, here’s the pledge.

The pledge reads as follows.

I, [candidate name], pledge to the American people that if elected President, I will:

[…] establish a presidential commission on religious liberty to investigate and document reports of Americans who have been harassed or threatened for exercising key civil rights to organize, to speak, to donate or to vote for marriage and to propose new protections, if needed.

Get what this means people? All equal rights laws that have been passed will be taken away. And basically if you are gay or speak out in favor of gay rights/marriage, you could/would be persecuted, intimidated, and stripped of your 1st Amendment right to free speech. But I’m sure the current GOP wants that. The only Amendment they love is the 2nd.

I found a terrific site that lists all of Romney’s flip-flops. It’s easier to post this site than for me to write them out. It’s actually quite breathtaking. When did Mitt Romney become THIS guy? He really thinks he’s got Tea Party support? I’m confused.
